BeefJack Work Catch-Up

I’ve actually done a fair bit of work for BeefJack since my last posting.

These include reviews of Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days on PS3, WiiWare title And Yet It Moves, Top Gun on PSN, Alien Breed 2: Assault and Alien Breed 3: Descent on PC, Saw II: Flesh and Blood on 360, GoldenEye 007 on the Wii, Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom on PS3 and Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 on the PS3.

As well as that I contributed a short Deathspank review to their roundup of missed reviews in 2010 and a feature for their Brave New Worlds segment on Liberty City as seen in GTA IV.

And, of course, not to forget the hands-on previews of MotorStorm: Apocalypse, Gran Turismo 5 and Killzone 3 alongside my first impressions on the PlayStation Move controller.

Strategy Informer Work Catch-Up

It’s been far too long since I updated my work blog so here I am in an effort to catch up posting the work I’ve done since I last posted.

Busy is a bit of an understatement. I feel a little remiss in looking here to see that I haven’t managed to post here since the beginning of September. In the intervening time I have been incredibly busy and so I’ll be posting a whole bunch of links to update my portfolio some time over the Christmas period when I have a more consistent internet connection.

This blog has lain dormant for a few weeks but there is good reason. For one, I broke my ankle and have been nursing it back to health.

I have also been intensely busy with news, previews and reviews so expect a long list of links in the next week or so.

The BeefJack Top 100 Games List is now being published. Lewis solicited votes from all the current BeefJack contributors to create their own list of the Top 100 games.

It actually provided a nice change from the usual top 100 lists that the bigger outlets produce. There are even some words from me.

Okay. I really did enjoy this game almost as I enjoyed playing the original Quake II on hacked terminals in the computing science labs at university.

134. Strategy Informer: Trinity Universe Review (PS3)

I will literally play any game. As proof I have some really awful review copies in my collection including Prison Break and The Godfather II, one of which I have completed.

Every so often you pick up a title that surprises you and reaffirms your faith in the gams industry and Trinity Universe is one of those titles. It adds a bit of much needed humour and colour to an industry that’s all-too dominated by gritty greys and browns. The best thing about it is it has Prinnies in it.
