What’s happening to all those great Sierra games?

In short, nobody knows – not even those in the know at Activision Blizzard.

After a quiet word in the ear of Vivendi’s UK PR gentleman, the games that are safe are as follows (although you already know this): Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Prototype, Ice Age 3 and one other yet to be announced.

This means yay for me because I can’t wait for Prototype. The mystery “other title yet to be announced” gives us hope. Having Ghostbusters, Brutal Legend and World in Conflict: Soviet Assault) hanging in the air just now hopefully one of these will make the cut (please, please, please be Brutal Legend).

In the meantime we should say our fond farewells to Sierra for years of adventuring fun with the likes of King’s Quest, Space Quest and the classic Willy Beamish. Don’t forget to say thanks for publishing a little game called Half-Life.
